Update (1904 EST): Owner of bag stepped forward and told police she left the bag accidentally. All clear has been given.

 

Pennsylvania Avenue and Lafayette Park are currently locked down due to a backpack being left unattended in front of the White House.

The Executive Office Building has also been locked down.
