Update (1101 EST): Two have been confirmed killed and 20 injured so far.
Update (1031 EST): President Zelensky has told press that more than 1,000 civilians were at the shopping center when it was fired upon. The mall was open during peak hours at around 1600 local on a Monday.
Update (1025 EST): Fires continue to burn at Amstor Mall, civilian casualties are being treated at the Evromed Center in Kremenchuk. Fires are still burning as structural integrity of the structure is failing, resulting in wall collapses.
An hour ago, explosions were reported in Poltava, Ukraine. Ukrainian Governor Lunin of Poltava Oblast confirmed missiles fell in Kremenchuk. Ukrainian MP Honcharenko told his telegram followers that Russia missiles fell “in a very crowded place”, which has turned out to be a shopping mall next to a train station. Ukrainian Telegram users are calling this the “most likely biggest tragedy since the beginning of the war”.
