Russian Troops Encircled, Ukrainian Commanders Demanding Unconditional Surrender, Kherson

Date:

Over the last 24 hours, the Ukrainian General Staff have been publishing updates of the battle raging for Vsyokopillya, Kherson Oblast, and the surrounding villages.

Ukrainian Presidential Adviser, Oleksiy Arestovych, told press today:

“I say in agreement with the military. We took Olgyne in part and Potemkine in full. These are settlements to the right and left of Visokopill. There, in essence, a repetition of Ilovaisk, but for Russia,” Arestovych said.

According to him, there are between 1,000 and 2,000 Russian troops in the settlement of Vsyokopillya.

“Yesterday, there was an attempt to break through from there, which was stopped by our fire. They turned back and are 3/4 surrounded,” he added.

According to Facebook posts by the Ukrainian General Staff, a “green corridor” has been denied to the embattled Russians for the wounded, and an unconditional surrender has been demanded. According to social media bloggers, only a small contingent of VDV and Special Forces are still combat capable as at least two Battalion Tactical Groups have been decimated.

This settlement is only a portion of the large Ukrainian counteroffensive targeted at recapturing Kherson city and Oblast.

This report has been derived from several officials posts of the Ukrainian government and social media war bloggers. There has not been any mention on Pro-Russian Telegram pages or the Russian Ministry of Defense.
