Russian Positions Northeast of Kherson Collapse, Scramble to Save Nova Kakhovka

Date:

In the last 48 hours Russian Ground Forces have abandoned several settlements North and Northeast of Nova Kakhovka, a vital crossing point and logistics hub for their forces operating in Kherson Oblast. This morning alone, Russian war correspondents reported that RGF units withdrew from Olhyne, Arkhanhelske, Tryfonivka, and Nova Kamyanka which are less than 25 miles from the the strategic city.

The Ukrainian 35th Separate Marine Brigade was also spotted at Davydiv Brid which is 30 miles directly North of Nova Kakhovka, with reports that the “situation is good”. This two axis advance will undoubtedly put pressure on Russian Forces in Kherson City. If the Ukrainians can seize Nova Khakovka and cross the Dnieper River, Russian Ground Forces may be forced to abandon the oblast capital, representing the largest strategic loss for the Russian Federation of the war.
